United Way Tailgate Party Held Sunday, January 13
January 13, 2019 - Herkimer, NY – On Sunday, January 13, Former Assemblyman Marc Butler as well as Rocky and Barb Fiato, owners of the Waterfront Grille, hosted the 16th Annual United Way Tailgate Party for the NFL Divisional Round playoff game between the San Diego Chargers and New England Patriots. The event took place from 12:00 – 4:00 p.m. at the Waterfront Grille, 800 Mohawk Street in Herkimer.
Marc Butler stated, “Over the years, the annual Tailgate Party to benefit United Way has grown to be a popular event that continues to draw a large crowd. It’s a great way to not only have an enjoyable afternoon of football, food and prizes, but it’s an easy way to support United Way, an organization that does so much for our community. Our hosts Rocky and Barb Fiato put on a unique event."
This year, approximately 60 "tailgaters" helped raise $2,285, enjoyed one complimentary beverage, delicious all-you-can-eat food, plenty of televisions to watch the game, and had the chance to win prizes donated by over 20 local businesses – all while supporting United Way!
All proceeds from this event benefit United Way of the Valley & Greater Utica Area. Tickets were $25 and could be purchased at the door as well as online via United Way’s website.
